Because of these problems, emotional therapy is a significant part of the learning program at Dolev Homes for Youth. It is also an important element in molding the personalities of the students, many of whom have suffered abuse and trauma that has resulted in a lack of self-worth, self-confidence and trust in adults. Therapy is provided in different domains, including:

  • Drama – enables physical and emotional expression through speech, movement and music.
  • Art – combines verbal, emotional and artistic expression.
  • Dance – helps release traumatic memories and stress in a creative, positive mode.
  • Equestrian Riding & Care – develops self-confidence and responsible through therapeutic riding, communicating with and caring for horses.
